Canvas Fabric
Canvas is the simplest type of fabric. Just requires the plain cross weave model. It is commonly woven with heavy fibers. In the past centuries it was the only available fabric mostly spun from linen and hemp. Because of it’s durability I was the main material for the wind sails of ships, before motorized ships were available. Canvas can be very rough and sturdy, so the overall feel is not very convenient. It is still popular in use for bags, winter jackets (outer shell) and in combination with nylon or polyester fibers for all kinds of function wear.
