French Terry Fabric 06-01-2014
French Terry Fabric
French Terry a knitted fabric. 2 Fabrics are being knitted together.
The front side is a normal jersey knit while the backside is a terry cloth like we know from towels. A machine knits 2 layers into one layer of fabric. The result is first of all a French Terry knit.
Without being brushed on the backside the loops of the yarns are showing out. This gives the inside of the fabric a typical look like the face of a towel.
The fabric is knitted by using readymade fabric yarns.
There are 3 types of yarn.
A) combed
B) carded
C) open end
In must cases we use combed yarn, which is the best in quality and most durable.
