Lock stitch 19-09-2015
Lock stitch
This is the most common stitch in order to stitch two or more layers of fabrics together. The machine punches the needle through the layers of fabrics to meet the yarn thread with the bottom seam below the needle plate. This is where the both yarns are being locked.
The effect is a running stitch as you can see in the picture.
