Fleece Fabric
Fleece is a knitted fabric. 2 Fabrics are being knitted together.
the front side is a normal jersey knit while the backside is a terry cloth. A machine knits 2 layers into one layer of fabric. The result is first of all a French Terry knit.
After knitting the fabric, the next step is brushing the backside of the material. The terry loops are are brushed so the whole backside becomes on furry structure. This is what we call fleece. Normally there is some polyester added on the inner side, so the fur doesn't have knots or uneven clusters.
The fabric is knitted by using ready made fabric yarns.
There are 3 types of yarn.
A) combed
B) carded
C) open end
In must cases we use combed yarn, which is the best in quality and most durable. We don't use any other type unless the customer explicitly asks for those types.
